Week 7

 Part 1.

We used discord's voice channels to collaborate. We created a presentation using google slides, which highlighted key points in our video. The process wasn't too bad. Since we are in a two-person group, we had to do more work to complete the presentation on time. I think working in a larger group will make the experience smoother, since we could delegate certain tasks to each other.

Part 2.

Presentation skills are important for computer science majors to know, since we may need to convince a lead, customer, etc. that someway is the best way to move forward. Something I learned from the Toastmaster's article on presentation, is to use visual aids effectively for presentations. One thing I could strengthen, is my ability to not rely too heavily on reading bullet points verbatim. I could address this by writing a script beforehand that adds more context to these bullet points. The TEDx speakers use good use of these aids in their presentations. They use gestures, videos, and pictures effectively without distracting the audience.
